New Suite of Training and Presentation Awards

Target Training Announce the launch of their new brand new suite of awards aimed at individuals who deliver presentations, pitches or training.

The Train the Trainer (TtT) programme has been one of the most successful programmes and many individuals from a wide range of sectors have benefited from undertaking this course.  Target Training are about to launch a new suite of Train the Trainer awards that are aimed at meeting the need of individuals in the workplace.  These awards are accredited through the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and dates will be available via our website shortly.

Ralph Moody who co-created the new suite of awards said "although we received so much positive feedback about the original Train the Trainer course we have now broken down the three day course into a more manageable two day route for employers.  Additionally, we have introduced an advanced programme for qualified trainers and a one day pitching and presentation techniques course that will meet the needs of many businesses to stand out from the crowd".

The new courses are:

pitching and presentation techniques - 1 day course

Aim:

To provide delegates with skills to improve pitching and presenting

Objectives:

  1. Identify the skills needed to effectively deliver
  2. Describe a logical structure for pitching and presenting
  3. Identify how we communicate
  4. Describe techniques to engage with audiences
  5. Identify the use of Visual Aids to compliment pitching and presentations
  6. Describe how to handle difficult behaviour and questions

Target Audience:

Anyone involved in delivering presentations to internal staff or external customers or potential customers

professional trainer techniques (PTT) - 2 day course

Aim:

To provide the skills to enable delegates deliver a training session

Objectives:

  1. Describe the key principles of training
  2. Identify how individuals learn
  3. Describe the key skills needed to deliver training
  4. Identify specific communication skills required to deliver training
  5. Demonstrate the use of effective questioning techniques
  6. Identify effective use of visual reinforcement in learning
  7. Describe key techniques to manage behaviour
  8. Describe the systems approach to training
  9. Deliver a training session to a group

Target Audience:

Individuals who are required to deliver training to internal staff or external clients.

advanced professional trainer techniques (APTT) - 2 day course

Aim:

To enhance skills of trainers by utilising advanced delivery techniques

Objectives:

  1. Describe the key skills needed to deliver advanced training
  2. Identify how to engage with groups and individuals
  3. Describe the key areas to enable emotional learning
  4. Identify specific communication skills required to deliver training
  5. Demonstrate and practice the use of reasoning situations in learning
  6. Describe key techniques to manage behaviour
  7. Describe the systems approach to training
  8. Deliver a training session to a group using advanced techniques

Target Audience:

Individuals with training experience or who have completed PTT or TtT course who wish to improve on their training skills.

Ralph also reinforced the bespoke aspect often associated with Target Training "what we see here are details of the open and public events.  However we are more than happy to adapt and customise any of these programmes to provide a full bespoke service to clients"
