Latest funding update - fantastic opportunity to accelerate growth

North East businesses are benefiting from a brilliant new service aimed at leaders and managers of SME’s so that they can effectively engage with and deploy their workforce and accelerate company growth.

Facilitated by Northumberland Business Services Limited (NBSL) in their Leadership and Management Advisory Service role, funding is being set at 50% of the cost of the development up to a maximum grant of £1000.  In these days of austerity this represents a fantastic opportunity so that SME’s employing between 2 - 249 people are supported in developing their Leadership and Management skills, with the ultimate aim of facilitating growth.

Ralph Moody director of Target Training, a NE based training provider who offer leadership and management programmes was extremely enthusiastic about the announcement by NBSL.  “Effective Leadership and Management from the top down is the cornerstone of any effective business and this approach to funding promotes the leading by example process”. He added “At Target Training we have been delivering quality Leadership and Management programmes for several years and the ability for Leaders and Managers to be developed with some government assistance is bound to be a popular one.”

 Target Training today announced the launch of a series of workshops aimed at the key identified development areas including:

Developing a highly effective Leadership & Management style – understanding different leadership styles and effective ways to communicate including assertiveness, delegation and feedback skills. 

Creating a joint enterprise culture with the workforce – Develop organisational culture by working on positive values, beliefs and behaviours.  Employ  psychometric techniques to understand personalities and their impact on the group dynamic to enhance  both internal and external communications .  Additionally, understanding, reducing and managing conflict in the workplace.

Planning and developing effective organisation and teams – effective recruitment/interview techniques and building teams by identifying key developmental objectives.

Leading and managing employee performance – understanding motivation that promotes commitment and delivers an effective approach to company objectives.  Effective learning and development approaches that meet individual and organisational needs for future business growth.

Ralph said he was confident that the Targets approach to delivery meets organisational needs “because we adapt to the needs of the client we can deliver these areas using 1:1 coaching & mentoring, bespoke solutions and qualifications as well as traditional workshops”
