new ptt for 1-2-1 training

Published by Paul King

Target Training are pleased to announce the launch of a new open PTT course which will be focused on 1-2-1 training. The course, which is based on the established PTT Train the Trainer course is aimed at individuals who have a responsibility for 1-2-1 training, monitoring and then giving feedback.

Speaking at the launch of the course yesterday.  Ralph Moody, founder of Target Training explained why the course was so important, especially for individuals with a remit for ‘on the job’ training.  “We are often asked to deliver this type of course ‘in-house’ where individuals are required to conduct 1-2-1 training and then observe followed by assessment or feedback.”  He added, “In roles where individuals have to learn how to operate new machinery or equipment it is vital that individuals know how to conduct this type of training correctly.  That is where this course comes in by teaching trainers the key skills that ‘on the job’ trainers really need."

The course is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management and includes essential areas to ensure trainers in 1-2-1 situations can Brief or teach followed by Observation and Debrief (feedback), what Target call BOD.  Ralph was keen to point out the benefits of using this process in any organisation and believes that following this process complex tasks and procedure can be picked up very quickly.

The course will be delivered as part of Target's Train the Trainer suite as an open event from October.  For more information about the course see Target Training’s website here.
