Getting value for money is critical in the current climate, but so is continuing to develop your workforce and key to that development, is having a training plan.

Here at Target Training we speak to many people responsible for planning staff training and recognise that planning ahead for staff development is difficult and it's often hard to look ahead and commit to dates/events or to recognise who might need a certain event.

So, we have launched our ‘Target TRAINING Passport' to take away some of the ‘headaches’ of planning training, whilst saving you money at the same time!

The Target TRAINING Passport offers three ‘win-win’ situations:

  1. The passport gives you 5 days training, for the price of 4!
  2. You pay for 2011 training places, at 2010 prices!*
  3. You beat the VAT rise (01 Jan 2011 rises to 20%)!*

*The offer is open to ‘passports’ purchased and invoiced before the end of December 2010.

For the owner or manager of a SME, we understand that training that can be a difficult or speculative thing to do; The worry is whether you completely understand who needs training, when they need it or what they will need. Furthermore, people then start  thinking the plan is not ‘perfect’ or it is so much of a ‘guess’, that it is not worth doing!

It is absolutely essential that every business has some sort of Learning & Development plan for staff and the key is to get started.

Start simple, but start.

Do the best that you can for now. there is no perfect plan. You're doing the plan according to your own nature and needs. Also, it's not important to stick to the plan for the sake of the plan; the plan will likely change as you and your business goes along. That's fine, as long as you've notice that it's been changed and why.

Learning & Development for a business and its workforce is a process, and having a plan is critical. So often when we put together a plan, the plan becomes the end rather than the means, but the plan should be a general guide, with flexibility built in; staff development needs and staff change.

The ‘PASSPORT’ is a fantastic way to book training and as long as you purchase your passport before 31 Dec 10 you get the following advantages:

  • The choice of 5 days quality training from Target Trainings catalogue of public 1 day courses (see website)
  • Flexible and adaptable and ready when needed!

-     Choose when, and where you send staff or yourself (new dates and titles always becoming available).

-     No need to name staff now, just when the need becomes relevant or the relevant course is available.

-     Owned  by the purchasing organisation/individual, so you can send anybody, as long as passport holder books them on.

  • Fixed costs for training events; no matter what price increases happen in 2011 AND VAT @ ONLY 17.5%!
