Meet your trainer(s)
Train the Trainer Training is our speciality; our in-house courses are intended to help staff become more prefessional, effective and engaging trainers.
We offer a variety of courses available in-house, ranging from introductory to advanced, and each one of them will teach you some excellent skills and techniques. If you scroll down to course overview, you can read what courses are available.
Courses are delivered by either Ralph Moody, Claire Moody or Scott Fraser; all master trainers, with a vast experience in learning and development. They will teach staff how to engage with cutting-edge techniques that get results while avoiding the pitfalls that plague most training sessions.
We can provide training with as little as two participants, with course length defined by the level of the course selected. Optional ILM accreditation is available on the majority of courses.
We've included membership to our Train the Trainer Academy to add even more value. Our academy comprises of online courses and live coaching sessions, which are ideal for continuing trainer development.
ILM accredited courses facilitated by experienced Master Trainers

Train the Trainer Essentials
Our one-day Train the Trainer Essentials course is designed for people who need the key skills to be an effective trainer. Skills are discussed and practised, and everyone receives feedback from a master trainer.
PTT Train the Trainer (ILM)
Our Professional Trainer Techniques course is a two-day program designed to improve your training skills. This ILM-accredited course emphasises practical skills, allowing you to become a more engaging and effective trainer. You will learn how to structure training sessions, ask effective questions, and manage participant behaviour.
Advanced PTT Train the Trainer (ILM)
Our in-house Advanced PTT course is designed to take your training skills to an expert level, providing you with advanced techniques in training structure, engagement, and managing challenging situations. This three-day ILM-accredited course, delivered by experienced master trainers, equips you with the tools to create impactful and memorable training sessions. By completing this course, you'll have the opportunity to achieve Advanced Practitioner status, enhancing your ability to deliver high-quality training that resonates with participants and drives continuous learning.
Master Trainer - Executive (ILM)
Our in-house Master Trainer course is a comprehensive five-day program designed for experienced trainers looking to achieve A1 Master Trainer accreditation. This ILM accredited advanced course focuses on developing strategic training capabilities, including designing and delivering complex training programs, evaluating training impact, and leading training teams. By the end of this course, you’ll possess the expertise to mentor and quality assure other trainers and lead organisational training initiatives.
Train the Trainer Academy Membership
You will also get an annual pass to our Train the Trainer Academy. The Academy offers online tutorials on Trainer Essentials, Understanding Behaviour, Effective Engagement, Structure, Confidence, Questioning Skills, Difficult People, Visual Aids, Lecture/Webinar, Remote Training and Coaching/Mentoring Skills.
Membership also includes access to regular live coaching calls with one of our master trainers.
It is a perfect complement when attending the course to aid understanding and consolidation.

"Are courses accredited?"
Courses such as PTT Train the Trainer, Advanced PTT Train the Trainer, Master Trainer, Coaching Skills for Managers/Trainers, Master Coach, Presentation Skills, Management Development Programmes and Essential Skills for Managers are all accredited by the ILM. Based in the UK as part of the City & Guilds group they are a leading provider of specialist qualifications. ILM is also recognised globally and many of their products and services are delivered and enjoyed by customers in many countries around the world.
"Do I have to complete a portfolio or pass an exam to complete the course?"
On courses that are accredited, they are performance assessed. No portfolios or additional tests or statements are required. Whilst on the training delegates are shown the skills and techniques required and they are then given opportunities to practise and develop. During this time our trainers offer support and guidance accordingly. A formal assessment is then conducted at the end of the course and one to one feedback is given focusing on what was done well and areas for development.
"What is the difference between Coaching and Training?"
There are often mistakes regarding understanding the differences between the two methods.
Coaching - A conversation between the coach and the coachee whereby the coachee achieves a higher level and understanding of awareness and self-awareness, while the coach provides a safe environment and structure for that outcome to occur.
Training - Training is teaching or developing in oneself or others, any skills and knowledge that relate to specific useful competencies. Training has specific goals of improving one's capability, capacity, productivity and performance and to maintain, upgrade and update skills throughout working life.
To train, you need to know the skill, to coach you don’t because it is more about the person.
How can these be miss-understood? I know the English language does not help with a ski instructor and a tennis coach, but coaching and training are different. I see the cross between coach and mentor is the same; the key is to understand the boundaries between them all.
