Ralph and Claire went to London at the weekend, to check our things were looking for the opening up of everything today, 17th May.

We have our HQ offices at Cheapside, and we wanted to check in there and see how things were going. It had been a year since we were there, and although the staff had been brilliant, especially Fatima Yamoun from BE Offices, who has ensured our mail has been forwarded on and kept us fully updated on everything going on.

However, we were concerned, especially for the local businesses in the area. Such as a local cake shop, which relies on companies such as ours to be there. This is the essential pipeline that needs to be there to keep these businesses viable.

When we arrived, we saw everyone getting prepared; companies were jet washing the buildings down. Cheapside, just down from St Pauls, is a very exclusive area centred in the City of London, surrounded by fantastic shops and full of businesses that need one thing, people and being empty for a whole year.

We were pleasantly surprised; everything was still there, the places we like to eat out, still there, the doughnut shop, still there. Thankfully everything looked like it had survived the lockdown and was ready for reopening.

After our visit to the office, we decided to do one of our mega walks, and 41,500 steps later (with a couple of drink breaks built-in), we can confirm that London is now officially open for business.
