How are those goals doing?
In my final blog on putting those goals into reality, I want to share what I do to ensure that they will always work.
If you remember in my blog on making decisions, I reinforced that the first thing you had to do is make a decision and not a preference. A decision is definite, and it can't be broken. It is like a laser beam that can cut through anything! This includes self-doubt and using language like "Well it's ok if I do it just this once", this is not make a decision.
The second was creating an action plan. Here, the critical element is having a breakdown of actions (small steps) with dates and reinforcing by explaining why completing the action was important to us.
The third element is what I do every day to make sure I am in the right mindset and have the correct motivation to achieve my goal. It is effortless and a mighty process using visualisation.
I have a two vision boards in my office; these are simple (and cheap) boards with my visions and my goals attached. I create a picture from a picture or something where I can visually relate that specific goal. One of my board's current visions is a picture of someone on scales with text stating "Lose two stone by the end of April 2021."
Every morning it is one of the first things I see. Additionally, I always have a 10-minute meditation session that I do in the morning and part of that process; I always select a goal or a target that I want to achieve. During that particular meditation, I feel what it will think like to accomplish that goal, really feel it, as if you have already achieved it. Feel how fantastic that feels.
Already I have lost 4 lbs, well on the way of achieving my goal and I know I will get there, I know there isn't any doubt or any option for anything else. It is compelling and feels very natural. For me, it works 100% of the time.
Whatever your goals and dreams, I wish you all the best with them.
